Business Operations Specialist Technology Research & Training Program
Small Business Consulting Corporation (SBCC) is seeking a Technology Research & Training Program Specialist to support their Technical Scouting & Vetting division and internal training programs. The role involves conducting technology research, developing training materials, and supporting business operations for government program management activities.

Responsibilities
Conduct rapid open-source scans of commercial technologies and emerging industry equities
Produce concise technical summaries on various companies and technology areas that contribute to comprehensive technology field assessments
Maintain tracking matrices of vetted entities, maturity levels, and investment signals
Engage in cross-functional reviews with engineers, analysts, and subject-matter experts
Professionalize internal training curriculum across TS&V and PM divisions
Maintain Develop, update, and version-control learning materials (slide decks, quick-reference guides, e-learning modules)
Manage cohort scheduling, enrollment, completion tracking, and feedback loops
Adapt content to evolving DoD acquisition rules, new company processes, CONOPs, and contract-specific requirements
Incorporate lessons learned from new business pursuits and contract kick-offs
Coordinate Continuous Professional Development (CPD) series: monthly company-wide briefings on technical, leadership, or policy topics; external continuing-education partnerships; leadership workshops and refreshers
Support new-contract and growth activities associated with: labor estimation, business development, related tracking and programs
Support development and maintenance of internal dashboards for labor forecasting, expenses, rates, and pipeline health
Support ISO 9001 Initiatives to increase operating efficiencies, and streamline business processes
Execute discrete projects assigned by the VP/Director (e.g., policy updates, tool evaluations, etc)
Assist with company travel management process
Support PM functions as assigned in support of DoD program offices on SBIR, STTR, and CRADA efforts
Prepare quad charts, status briefs, and monthly reports for PMs and contracting officers
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in management field, engineering field, program management, business operations, or other field related to this position description
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance
Strong research, writing, and synthesis skills evidenced by academic work, internships, etc
Strong communications skills (oral, written)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, analytic tools, AI systems (ChatGPT/Grok/Other), learning-management tools (e.g., SharePoint, I-Solved, etc)
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Bachelor's degree (GPA ≥ 3.3)
Prior internship in technical fields curriculum design, or defense consulting
Exposure to DoD acquisition lifecycle or SBIR/STTR processes, and government contracting
Familiarity with FAR/DFARS clauses
Active Secret clearance
Basic computer coding skills (Python, SQL, Visual Basic, or similar)
Knowledge or experience with i-Solved (general web-based information management), and ASANA (program management software)
