Undergraduate Grading Assistant
The Center for Public Partnerships & Research is seeking an Undergraduate Grading Assistant to support course instructors by evaluating student writing assignments. This role involves grading assignments using a standardized rubric and providing constructive feedback, ensuring fairness and consistency in evaluations.

Responsibilities
Grade short written assignments using a standardized rubric
Provide clear, constructive, and rubric‑aligned feedback to students
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and fairness in all evaluations
Complete a portion of grading in Bailey Hall, Room 215, as scheduled
Complete remaining grading tasks remotely while maintaining confidentiality and academic integrity
Communicate with supervising instructors regarding grading questions or discrepancies
Qualification
Required
The student must have successfully completed GIST 220 - Introduction to Global and International Studies, as indicated on application materials
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours
For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester
Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students
Preferred
Student majoring in Global and International Studies, as indicated on application materials
