The University of Michigan is one of the largest health care complexes in the world, and they are seeking Biomedical Engineering Technicians to repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment at Michigan Medicine. The role involves responsibilities such as corrective and preventative maintenance on a variety of medical equipment across multiple locations on campus.

Responsibilities
Work performed is documented in the work order database system called AIMS
Additional duties include identifying and preparing parts and materials necessary for repairs and preventive maintenance on assigned devices
Cross-training for other Biomedical Engineering Technicians for expanded backup support is also required
Work hours are Wednesday to Wednesday, ten-hour shifts, 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m
The primary job site is at Michigan Medicine's main campus
Technicians must have a valid Michigan driver's license and be able to drive a motor vehicle
Qualification
Required
An associate degree in biomedical engineering technology or equivalent Military training is required
Knowledge and experience with advanced analog and digital electronics
Minimum of eight years of experience repairing and maintaining medical equipment, preferably in a hospital environment
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
