Responsibilities
Identifying and reserving appropriate meeting space for all conference center requests with a focus on maximizing utilization
Performing audits of event space reservations to identify conflicts, improve utilization of conference center managed space and ensure effective use of function space
Working with Planners to gather information necessary for large events and projects
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of experience in a conference center or corporate environment
Excellent organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and employee handbook
Ability to communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with high-level clients, other service providers and support staff
Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and juggling many tasks simultaneously
Self-confidence, willingness to learn, and feeling comfortable with change and coordinating change
Empowered to make decisions, guide behavior and escalate issues appropriately
Superior problem-solving skills
Competent in Google Suite and strong general computer skills
Preferred
Previous experience with an event reservations system such as EMS or Delphi
