Responsibilities
Learn about and support community-wide public health planning efforts aimed at improving the health and well-being of Sioux Falls residents
Assist with collection, organization, and summary of community health data for the Community Health Assessment (CHA)
Support development and tracking of goals, strategies, and metrics for the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP)
Help prepare reports, presentations, and basic data visualizations
Participate in community engagement activities, meetings, and stakeholder outreach
Assist with public health initiatives, education efforts, and special projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Students currently enrolled in a public health, community health, health sciences, sociology, or data analytics curriculum as a full-time student at a college, university, or vocational technical school
Ability to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others
Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, GIS, SAS, etc.)
