Associate Director & Fellow - Korea Chair
CSIS is a bipartisan, nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., and they are seeking an Associate Director & Fellow for the Korea Chair. The role involves conducting research on U.S.-ROK relations and regional security issues, managing research initiatives, and overseeing the Visiting Fellows Program.

Responsibilities
Conduct research on the United States–Republic of Korea (ROK) Alliance, inter-Korean relations, and North Korea, contributing to major reports, policy briefs, and publications
Develop and execute new research projects that provide analysis and recommendations to inform policymakers, government officials, and other key stakeholders on U.S.-ROK relations and regional security issues
Prepare and edit written analysis, including project reports, commentaries, and executive summaries, and provide timely analyses of geopolitical and foreign policy developments on the Korean Peninsula including security, politics, and nuclear proliferation
Oversee the Korea Chair’s Visiting Fellows Program, providing guidance and mentorship to fellows
Manage programmatic aspects of research initiatives, including budget oversight and grant proposals to secure funding
Coordinate with internal CSIS programs and external stakeholders to support research initiatives and strategic objectives
Provide direction and oversight to program staff, ensuring alignment with research goals and strategic planning initiatives
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Asian Studies, Political Science, or a related field
Two years of experience as a Researcher analyzing and reporting on foreign policy, politics, economics, security issues including nuclear proliferation on the Korean peninsula
Experience must include producing policy briefs, reports, or academic publications
Professional-level research proficiency in Korean (reading, speaking, and writing)
