Summer 2026 Mechanical Engineering- Graduate Student

They are seeking a Graduate Student Intern in Mechanical Engineering to work with engineering teams on projects involving mechanical and structural engineering, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship during their internship.

Responsibilities

Gain hands on, real-world experience

Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization

Required

Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Currently enrolled in a graduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
Available to work full time while not concurrently enrolled in coursework
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for space

Preferred

Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities
Hands-on project experience
Experience with relevant CAD and CAD tools
Experience with analysis
Experience with data processing
Experience with thermofluids
Experience with combustion
