Responsibilities

Evaluate, investigate, and process mechanical warranty claims using established guidelines and repair criteria
Apply automotive repair knowledge to determine claim approval, denial, or required next steps
Communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email with: Dealership service departments, Vehicle owners, Internal claims teams
Explain claim decisions in a way that is easy for non‑technical customers to understand
Demonstrate empathy and active listening when handling customer concerns
Maintain accurate electronic claim documentation using internal systems
Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure fair, consistent, and high‑quality claim decisions
Handle dealership calls to review required repairs and determine warranty coverage
Handle vehicle owner calls seeking explanation of approved or denied claims
Handle customer guidance calls to explain repair processes, quotes, and next steps for coverage review

Qualification

Required

Minimum 3 years of experience as an automotive mechanic or in a related mechanical field
Strong understanding of vehicle systems and repair processes
Ability to clearly explain mechanical concepts to non-technical individuals
Previous customer service experience handling complex or escalated issues
Excellent verbal communication skills
Comfortable navigating multiple software systems and monitors while on calls
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, email)
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced call center environment
High school diploma or GED required

Preferred

ASE Certification
Experience with labor guides (AllData preferred)
Experience using automotive scan tools
Bilingual (Spanish & English)
