Associate Manager, Trade Marketing

The Associate Manager, Trade Marketing will lead and manage trade marketing efforts for the Coleman brand to support sales in China, developing strategies and programs to drive sales and manage trade relationships.

Responsibilities

Develop an annual Trade / regional strategy which is aligned with Brand, and Sales strategies
Accelerates profitable growth for our brands aligned with business strategy and brand positioning strategies
Identify potential customer / Trade conflicts/risks and recommend resolutions
Provides coordinated strategies within and across Trades / regions, delivering sustainable, profitable growth across all Trades / regions
Demonstrates knowledge of brand and customer strategies
Identify and recommend business and Trade distribution opportunities within Trades
Develops an annual calendar of strategic initiatives, prioritizing within Trades / regions and brands
Recommend and tracks success metrics
Lead the Trade / regional planning process with Trade / region, collaborating with Sales and Brand / Product Management
Make category management recommendations for the Channels to optimize performance, i.e. optimal SKU assortment, merchandising, and shelf / catalog layout
Lead the coordination of line review activities collaborating with Sales and Brand / Product Management, ensuring stakeholder alignment and coordination across customers / Trade and brands
Executes the plan within area of responsibility, overseeing the creation of promotional programming, such as JBP with key customer, catalog layouts, events (trade shows), and Trade-specific marketing support materials. Ensures consistency with brand guidelines and point of sale
Provide product knowledge training and supervise the promoters to drive high performance of them
Provide Trade/region perspective & needs for setting new product pricing to the Brand/Product team
Collect and analyze Trade/regional pricing and distribution for NWL and competitive brands
Recommend Trade/regional promotional pricing
Track, analyze and report impact of pricing exceptions on Trade / region
Recommend how trade programming funds should be spent to ensure strategic alignment across brands and customers
Determine how to better use funds for brand growth
Analyze the effectiveness of trade spend and makes reallocation recommendations
Effectively manage the agencies and suppliers
Collaborate on the annual trade fund budget process
Collaborate cross functionally with all functional areas
Execute and offer input on simplification of appropriate business processes to increase organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Support corporate strategy alignment

Required

Bachelor's degree required
8+ years of combined trade, brand management experience is essential, and/or sales experience with a proven track record of results as plus
3+ years as a team leader

Retail/Outdoor Experience Preferred
