Responsibilities

Design & Implement: Develop and maintain core features for Azure Local compute, storage, and networking services with a focus on reliability and scalability
Technical Leadership: Drive architecture decisions, influence design patterns, and mentor junior engineers
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (networking, storage, Kubernetes) to deliver integrated solutions
Performance & Quality: Optimize code for performance, security, and maintainability; contribute to automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
Innovation: Explore emerging technologies to enhance Azure Local capabilities and improve customer experience

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

Preferred

Experience with Azure services, Azure Stack HCI, and Kubernetes
Understanding distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and cloud architecture
Knowledge of storage technologies (Storage Spaces Direct, Cluster Shared Volumes), and virtualization
Familiarity with Geneva monitoring and cloud-init lifecycle management
Experience working in large-scale, mission-critical environments
