They are seeking a Merchandise Assistant who will support the Planning, Buying, and store operations teams by coordinating administrative processes, monitoring product flow, and ensuring accurate data to drive profitable product decisions.

Responsibilities
Setting up new product SKUs, managing purchase orders
Maintain and update product information, price lists, and SKU data
Assist with preparation of product order sheets, and buying documents
Prepare samples for range reviews and merchandising presentations
Support planners with weekly sales, stock, and performance reporting
Tracking store stock levels, and monitoring sell-through
Work closely with Marketing, Buying, Planning, and Operations to ensure product readiness
Prepare daily and weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance reports
Analyse sales trends, store feedback, and product performance to support merchandise decisions
Loading dispatch instruction for warehouse to execute orders accordingly
Tracking PO’s to ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
1+ years of experience in retail, business or administration is preferred
Matric (essential)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential
Strong numerical skills with an ability to interpret sales data
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Adaptability
Prioritization
Ability to manage several responsibilities simultaneously
Resilience and a positive mindset
A keen interest in the retail industry and an understanding of consumer behavior
Sound written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Preferred
A formal qualification in business or retail management is preferred but not mandatory
