Admin Investigator

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is seeking Administrative Investigators to conduct independent and objective investigations regarding employee misconduct and violations of law. Responsibilities

Conduct investigations and inquiries and prepare reports in accordance with Agency and NGA Office of Inspector General (OIG) written guidance and established Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) standards
Function as the liaison with the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) and other Federal investigative agencies
Conduct fraud awareness and prevention briefings to selected NGA audiences

Security Investigation
Experience in conducting substantive administrative or procurement related investigations involving violations of law, rule, or regulation (for example, experience in applying Federal statutory and regulatory standards pertinent to the conduct of fraud-related investigations or reviews)
Experience researching and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations
Experience preparing comprehensive narrative reports of investigation documenting facts collected and documents reviewed
Experience in taking testimony, listening carefully and restating others' statements
Demonstrated ability to keep proprietary or confidential information secure and respecting appropriate confidences, presenting factual information in an appropriate and helpful manner
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Police Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field
A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus professional investigative experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work
A minimum of 4 years of professional investigative experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work
Must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to SCI
Subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information

Preferred

Experience with Inspector General oversight responsibilities and functions
Knowledge of Federal sector investigative work and investigative methods and procedures
Graduation from an accredited Federal sector criminal investigations basic training program
Experience recording interviews
Demonstrated proficiency with developing, preparing, and presenting informational programs - particularly related to fraud awareness and prevention; and/or planning and executing proactive investigative projects targeting fraud or similar misconduct
Demonstrated skills in researching, planning, and executing contract and/or proactive identification of fraud-related projects to include ability to analyze and identify anomalies
