Sr. Rail Systems Project Manager

They are seeking a Senior Rail Systems Project Manager to lead the delivery of traction power, electrical, and communications projects, managing multidisciplinary teams and serving as a client interface.

Responsibilities
Support and manage delivery of multiple projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, and change control from project initiation through closeout
Serve as a client point of contact, building and maintaining trusted relationships and ensuring client expectations are met
Manage and coordinate delivery of rail traction power, electrical, and communications projects, ensuring technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements are satisfied
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, subconsultants, and third-party stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient project execution
Provide management-level oversight of project deliverables to ensure quality, constructability, and compliance with contract documents and applicable standards
Support procurement, design, and construction-phase activities, including scope definition, technical evaluations, RFIs, submittals, and issue resolution
Develop, maintain, and control project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, including baseline development, progress tracking, critical path analysis, and schedule risk assessment
Monitor project performance, including forecasting, cost control, and change management, and implement corrective actions as required
Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, cost estimating, and client relationship growth in support of business development activities
Provide in-person project support at 3Vi offices and client facilities, with periodic travel as required to support project delivery
Qualification
Required
PMP certification
10+ years of progressively responsible experience delivering rail, electrification, electrical, or communications infrastructure projects
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a closely related engineering discipline
Strong project management background with complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client-facing communication and preparation of clear technical and project documentation
Ability to work well as part of a team on fast-paced projects
Preferred
Experience working with major public transit agencies
Familiarity with rail systems standards and interfaces
Design-build and progressive design-build experience
Consulting or owner-side project delivery experience
Primavera or MS Project experience
