Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data
Build data migration solutions between legacy and modern systems using SQL, Java, and cloud‐native tools
Implement data integration frameworks on AWS using Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, Redshift, and Kinesis
Develop automation scripts in Python and Shell/Bash for deployment, validation, and maintenance
Maintain and optimize real‐time and batch pipelines for performance and reliability
Support data quality, metadata management, and governance processes
Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across on‐premises and AWS environments
Participate in Agile/Scrum sprints, contributing to design, coding, reviews, testing, and documentation
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Mid‐level: Five or more years in data engineering or database development
Senior‐level: Eight or more years in data engineering or database development
Hands‐on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, AWS Glue, or custom Java ETL
Proficiency in SQL and one major RDBMS such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
Experience with data migration and data quality validation
Proficiency in Java or Python for data processing and automation
Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, and Glue
Working knowledge of Linux or Unix and shell scripting
Experience in an Agile or Scrum development environment
Excellent problem‐solving, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
Familiarity with streaming and event‐driven data patterns using Kinesis or similar
Experience in classified or regulated environments with secure development practices
