Responsibilities

SELECTS WELDING PROCEDURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH TYPE OF WORK AND MATERIALS INVOLVED
WELDS ON ALL TYPES OF METALS AND ALLOYS IN VARIOUS SIZES, SHAPES AND ON DIVERSIFIED ASSEMBLIES, PRODUCTS OR STRUCTURES
PRODUCES WELDS SUBJECT TO X‑RAY ANALYSIS, MAGNAFLUX INSPECTION, DYE CHECK AND/OR GAS TIGHT PRESSURE OR OTHER TESTS
MAY SET UP, ADJUST AND OPERATE A VARIETY OF MACHINE TOOLS REQUIRING CLOSE TOLERANCE WORK; INSPECT OWN WORK FOR CONFORMANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS, USING GAUGES, TEMPLATES OR OTHER MEASURING DEVICES
MAY PERFORM CERTIFIED WELDS IN ALL AREAS OF PLANT
BID WINNER MUST PASS WELDER QUALIFICATION TESTING
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
ATTENDANCE IS AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF ANY POSITION
