Responsibilities
Conducting in-depth analysis of existing policies and regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness from a financial perspective
Analyzing legislation and its impact on financial operations
Formulating financial policies and procedures, policies to address evolving business needs, regulatory changes and industry best practices
Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and ensuring the compliance of various types of agreement
Collaborating with internal teams and providing advice to management on legal matters
Work to maintain an understanding of business objectives and can be involved in developing procedures and training
Collaborating with various departments, such as Policy OAG and program and project management to ensure effective policy implementation and financial compliance
Communicating financial policies and their implications to stakeholders at different levels
Providing training and guidance to staff on financial policies and best practices
Working with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and auditors, on compliance and reporting
Qualification
Required
A combination of experience, education or training in business administration or related field
Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement complex regulations, procedures and/or compliance standards, and experience working in a complex regulatory environment
Experience with federally funded research programs, experience with EPA is a plus
Experience in grant and contract administration
