Responsibilities
Interview new clients and perform comprehensive evaluations of what has been done, and what needs to be
Actively review cases in pre-litigation, ensuring that medical records are being received and investigations are complete
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, other staff members, etc
Evaluate cases, including determining potential for resolution and need for litigation
Briefing and advising managing attorneys on case postures and outcomes
Draft pleadings, discovery, motions
Administrative and other management functions related to the practice of law
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1 year of experience in law
Familiarity with civil procedure (Virginia, Maryland, and/or DC)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
For bilingual candidates: must be fluent in English and Spanish
Preferred
A bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required
Experience in personal injury practice is highly desired
