They are seeking an Independent Business Development Consultant to support lead qualification and engagement activities, focusing on nurturing leads and preparing them for sales handoff.

Responsibilities

Access the pre-sales / nurture pipeline
Review new subscribers and inbound leads for qualification purposes
Update lifecycle stages and lead status based on engagement outcomes
Document calls, emails, and notes in HubSpot to support internal continuity
Send personalized follow-ups to warm inbound leads
Respond to high-level questions about services (non-technical, non-pushy)
Identify and document intent signals (e.g., timing, readiness, scope)
Recommend when a lead may be ready to book a sales meeting, or complete the Onboarding Express Form
Schedule meetings directly on sales calendars
Flag qualified leads and route as SQOs by the internal sales team
Provide relevant context and qualification notes to before internal handoff
Track conversion rates from lead → meeting → SQO
Refine outreach approach based on observed engagement results

Required

1-2 years of experience in inbound sales development, lead qualification, or customer-facing sales (ideally in B2B SaaS or startup environments)
Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM
Strong written communication and follow-up skills
Comfortable qualifying interest without overselling and speaking with founders and executives
Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
Ability to manage work independently with strong organization and attention to detail
