Required

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline by the time of appointment
The ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

Preferred

Teaching experience in mechanical or industrial engineering, at either the college/university level or in professional training and development contexts
Demonstrated ability to translate technical expertise into engaging, effective classroom or laboratory instruction
Experience with laboratory development or experiential learning
Professional or industry experience related to mechanical or industrial engineering practice
Evidence of a strong commitment to student success and inclusive pedagogy
Engagement with professional societies and/or collaboration with industry or community partners
