Responsibilities
Create and scale a modern data governance program that supports patient care, compliance, and strategic growth
Establish standards that ensure trusted, reliable, and secure data across the organization
Lead enterprise efforts to improve data quality, including measurement, issue resolution, and continuous improvement
Work closely with clinical, compliance, legal, IT, and business teams to embed governance into everyday workflows
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on how data can be safely and effectively used
Build and develop a high-performing data governance organization
Champion a culture that treats data as a shared, strategic asset rather than a technical byproduct
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience leading enterprise data governance or data management programs, ideally in healthcare
Proven ability to set a clear data governance vision and turn it into practical, organization-wide execution
Strong knowledge of healthcare data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements and how to operationalize them
Deep understanding of data quality, data standards, and stewardship across multiple systems and domains
Track record of partnering with executives and senior leaders to align data practices with business and clinical needs
Ability to bridge business and technical teams, translating complex topics into clear, actionable guidance
Experience building, leading, and mentoring teams responsible for data governance and quality
Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional initiatives and driving organizational change
Preferred
Advanced degree (MBA, MIS, or similar)
Background in complex or multi-entity healthcare environments, including post-acute or long-term care
Professional certifications related to data governance, data management, or information governance
Experience launching data literacy, training, or awareness programs
Familiarity with formal governance or risk management frameworks
