They are seeking a part-time Clinical Preceptor for the Occupational Therapy Assistant program, responsible for guiding students during their clinical experience and ensuring educational outcomes are met.

Responsibilities

Supervising a group of four OTA students during their clinical experience
Guiding students in the preparation of fieldwork group activities
Facilitating group sessions in collaboration with students
Assisting students in the development of group protocols
Conducting student evaluations and providing constructive feedback
Provide instruction with the focus on teaching and learning to help ensure students in each class successfully meet all course outcomes and classroom objectives
Participate in the curriculum monitoring and development process by providing feedback on the curriculum to PDs and/or the System-level curriculum team
Manages the learning environment through keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and enforcing school/campus academic and attendance policies

Required

Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant / Bachelor's degree or higher as an Occupational Therapist
Current New Jersey OT/OTA license
2 or more years' experience in the field of Mental Health, Occupational Therapy/ Occupational Therapy Assistant
1 to 2 years' experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with student populations
Computer-based skills. (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines
Ability to develop a professional rapport with diverse school/campus constituents
Ability to create and complete projects without continued direct supervision
Ability to learn from students' participation, demonstrates fair and consistent behavior in all matters
