Responsibilities

Direct clinical and support services for supply distribution, logistics, inventory control, materials forecasting, supply optimization, asset distribution & storage, asset disposal, and the implementation of supply chain changes across the health system
Oversee replenishment and control of supply inventories, project management for new supply implementations, and support initiatives for standardization, utilization, and cost reduction
Manage the Daily Management System of the Kanban program, including staff training, certification, Gemba rounds, and Quality Control Notifications (QCN) management
Lead the Supply Optimization management team using data-driven methods and Lean principles; ensure Kanban fill-rate standards are met or exceeded; collaborate with internal directors on improvement initiatives and technology adoption
Maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring staff are appropriately trained and compliant
Lead change management efforts across the organization to align logistics and supply chain operations with common policies and Lean practices
Develop and manage the annual expense budget; support justification of staffing levels and productivity goals; ensure department alignment with financial and budgetary expectations
Participate in committees and meetings focused on continuous improvement; manage operational project coordination across clinical and support areas
Ensure proper implementation and execution of new services (e.g., Kanban areas), meeting or exceeding location-specific expectations
Oversee departmental HR functions including scheduling, staffing coverage, staff development, evaluations, and timecard compliance; maintain compliance with hospital and departmental standards
Manage all clinical and support area inventory holdings and ensure adherence to Lean practices and inventory integrity standards
Collaborate with leadership to maintain Operational Excellence through Lean methodology with a focus on reliability and data-driven decisions
Coordinate with Vice President and internal directors to support cross-divisional performance, project management, and KPIs with a clinical and support area emphasis
Handle special projects and reporting requirements as assigned by executive leadership
Collaborate cross-functionally to support performance improvement goals, construction initiatives, and facility change management
Lead development of logistics service strategies, set and manage KPIs for operational performance, and ensure targets are met across acute care logistics functions
Analyze data to identify and implement Lean opportunities for utilization improvement and practice leadership
Define and establish financial and operational goals aligned with executive input, ensuring timely achievement of cost-saving targets
Engage with department leaders to identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in supply and clinical support services
Provide financial and operational data to support budgetary planning and service budgeting for clinical and support areas
Foster a team-oriented culture and support staff development initiatives
Develop and lead strategy deployment plans for clinical and facility-level goals
Direct system-wide bin/Kanban deployment; maintain collaboration with internal directors for effective procedural and surgical operations
Oversee all aspects of managerial hiring, supervisor evaluations, and termination decisions as required within the division
Collaborate across supply chain disciplines (e.g., Strategic Sourcing, Value Analysis, ERP, Procurement) to define metrics, optimize systems, and implement data integrity solutions
Lead process analysis, change management strategy, and development efforts for logistics and supply chain operations, including large-scale improvements and system-wide integration
