Responsibilities
Triage, investigate, and resolve system-related issues across financial platforms
Serve as a liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors to ensure timely issue resolution
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for optimization
Design, develop, and maintain financial reports and dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL
Translate complex data into actionable insights for finance and business leaders
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across platforms
Analyze current workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Implement automation and integration solutions where applicable
Document processes and maintain system configuration records
Gather and validate business requirements from cross-functional teams
Coordinate system upgrades, testing, and deployments with stakeholders
Provide training and support to end users on financial systems and tools
Participate in department initiatives and projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education or related work experience
Three to five years of experience in financial systems analysis or related role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets
Understanding of SAS programming, spreadsheet, database software and other application development tools
Good business acumen and political savvy
Knowledge of business process improvement techniques and strategies
Negotiation skills
Presentation skills
Decision-making skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to interface with employees at all levels
Ability to effectively navigate ambiguous situations with limited direction
Preferred
Familiarity with financial close, budgeting, procurement, and reporting processes
Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Certification in relevant platforms (e.g., Workday Financials, Microsoft Power BI) is a plus
Experience in the health insurance industry
Experience with system implementation or upgrades
