Responsibilities
Understand the Tier?1 auto supplier’s OCS product roadmap for future applications
Understands OCS strategies (IOS, full suppression, etc.) for each supported Customer application
Applies the Tier 1 auto supplier’s OCS designs and best practices to satisfy Customer Occupant Detection requirements
Manages a look across chart of key technical parameters for programs for each supported customer
Responsible for Tier 1 auto supplier Design Reviews and ASPICE process
Serves as Final Approver/Expert for internal systems peer reviews
Acts as the technical interface with the Customer and manages key technical communication within the Product Team
Leads development of the System Design (mechanization, software, component definition, and interface definition) that satisfies product requirements
Drives resolution of issues and concerns with the customer in order to maximize reuse of the Tier?1 auto supplier’s OCS system architecture
Performs verification activities of the System and ECU design (IT&V, bench testing, and vehicle?level testing)
Identifies exceptions to the Tier 1 auto supplier’s common OCS system architecture and escalates to the Chief Engineer and Technical Manager
Qualification
Required
Strong systems engineering knowledge
Understanding of customer needs to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations
Expertise with tools and technologies such as Polarion/DOORS, GES, JIRA, Vector CANoe, PDAQ/Saint tools, SWIT
Familiarity with industry protocols such as ISO 26262, Cybersecurity standards, UDSISO14229, and CAN
