Inside Sales Engineer [32843]

Responsibilities
Develop a clear understanding of the needs of the technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products/solutions
Strategic support on Key accounts/ OEM RFQ’s
Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable
Product demonstrations
Managing pre-sale technical evaluations
Product knowledge of hydraulic and fluid system application and training for customer engagement
High level support, consulting, and troubleshooting
Develop business winning strategies for identified project opportunities that includes competitor analysis
Identifies business opportunities by analyzing prospects and their position in the industry; this includes researching and identifying sales options
Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance, researching, and recommending new opportunities, and profit and service improvements
Manage the sales cycle from bringing on a new client to securing and closing the deal
Utilize ERP/CRM software to ensure customer contacts are maintained, customer related sales call activities are documented, value added services/cost savings are recorded and opportunities are actively managed through the lifecycle of the sale
Proactively communicate with prospects to identify opportunities, utilizing ERP to document all activity
Schedule appointments to reach out to customers and follow through to ensure that commitments are met
Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
May assist with training new employees
Fully complies with the company’s safety instructions and procedures, including timely reporting of any accidents, injuries or incidents involving physical injury or illness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, or 5 years of technical sales experience in the field
Mechanical and mathematical aptitude; must be comfortable with technical conversations regarding various industrial applications
Ability and desire to learn new systems and processes quickly
Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings
Excellent communication skills
CAD experience required
Preferred
Previous experience in the fields of hydraulics, tube fittings, or other industrial fitting applications preferred
Strong computer skills, ERP/CRM experience preferred
