This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and overseeing lease accounting activities while partnering with internal stakeholders such as Real Estate, Legal, Procurement, and Finance.

Responsibilities
Lead the lease accounting function, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and other applicable accounting standards
Own the end-to-end lease accounting process, including lease classification, journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures
Manage accounting for subleases, including revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting
Oversee lease accounting systems and tools, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and process efficiency
Partner with Real Estate, Legal, Procurement, and Finance teams to review lease and sublease agreements and assess accounting implications
Drive continuous improvement in lease accounting processes, controls, and automation initiatives
Prepare and review lease-related disclosures for external financial reporting
Support internal and external audits related to lease and sublease accounting
Provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders
Mentor and develop team members supporting lease accounting activities
Qualification
Required
CPA required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant lease accounting exposure
Demonstrated experience managing subleases and related revenue recognition
Strong knowledge of ASC 842 and other relevant GAAP standards
Preferred
Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm preferred)
Experience supporting a large or complex lease and sublease portfolio
Prior involvement in system implementations, process improvements, or automation initiatives
