Management Analyst
The DC Department of Human Resources is seeking a Management Analyst for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), which focuses on improving education quality for DC residents. The Management Analyst will support the Budget and Finance team by managing fiscal responsibilities, developing budget reports, and collaborating with leadership teams.

Responsibilities
Works with the Associate Director of Fiscal Management to perform cost analyses and projections of projects
Assists with the preparation of budget estimates and justifications for all agency program areas
Works directly with program managers/associate directors to ensure budgets are reasonable, accurate and conform with Federal and District procedures and guidelines
Develops procedures and systems for establishing, operating, and assessing the effectiveness of administrative control systems such as those designed to prevent waste, loss, unauthorized use, or misappropriation of assets
Monitors program obligations, purchase order balances, and provide data for procurement forecasts
Expands an auditing program for work orders, invoices, and purchase orders
Develops sample size, audit scope, and remediation process
Quality controls weekly reports prepared for key stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
Preferred
Expert-level Excel and excellent communication skills are preferred
Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field preferred
