Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements
Lead the design and implementation of data models and database structures that meet business needs
Profile, refactor, and tune performance in the database
Design and implement complex ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various source systems into the data warehouse
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy through robust data quality assurance measures
Review and support team members, providing guidance and mentorship
Supervise and contribute to the data-driven strategy for the project, aligning it with business objectives
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for building and maintaining data pipelines
Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)
Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses and data lakes
Strong background in ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration
Hands-on experience implementing data observability and data quality solutions
Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g., GCS, S3, Azure Storage)
Proficient with Git and setting up CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects
Experience in requirements gathering, technical documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders
Preferred
Experience with Dataplex
Hands-on experience with stream processing technologies
