Intern – Manufacturing Project Engineer

The Manufacturing Project Engineer Intern will work on capital projects, participate in community service activities, and gain real-world corporate experience over a 10-week program.

Responsibilities

Capital and plant improvement projects
Formulation of improvement activities
Facility drawings using AutoCAD
Strategic planning and the optimal use of capital budgets and assets

Qualification

Required

Must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or If graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or If graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering or civil engineering and be a current junior or above (rising senior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to analyze information and be detail oriented
Ability to work independently and productively
Ability to think outside the box with regards to problem solving
Ability to present findings in a concise, high-level manner
Ability to meet deadlines
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Ability to work well with others and be a team player

Preferred

Knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermal processing
