Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer you will work on Redfin’s data ingestion platform creating new data pipelines and tooling to help keep Redfin’s inventory updated faster and higher quality than our competitors
You'll build products and tools that drive some of the company's most critical metrics and impact revenue growth
You will work with spatial and shape data and integrate lat/long data within these shape files
You will develop large scale applications backed by relational and non-relational databases
You will build tooling to help monitor, maintain and update essential data
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience developing full-stack data ingestion platforms
Experience developing large scale applications backed by relational and non-relational databases
Experience using Kafka, Java, Python, Postgres, SQL, K8s, Jenkins, and Airflow in AWS
Built tooling to help monitor, maintain and update essential data
Experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
Curious and a life-long learner: willing to take risks and champion new ideas
Exercise thought leadership in designing, architecting, and implementing solutions for difficult challenges
Ability to teach and mentor: leadership skills to improve the developers around you
