Responsibilities
Assist project Engineers – Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical, in all phases of project work, from drafting, on-site as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection, light design / production work, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout documentation for a variety of projects ranging in scope from minor rehabs to building new facilities
Qualification
Required
Experience working with AutoCAD, REVIT and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling)
Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with demonstrated initiative - able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements
Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Preferred
Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on architecture, engineering, or construction
Coursework or prior work experience in Power Plant design(Chilling plants, Boiling plants)
Coursework or prior work experience in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Design
Coursework or prior work experience in Thermo, Fluid Dynamics, Chiller and Boiler plant and/or Thermodynamics/Fluid Flow
