FIELD QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER

Responsibilities

Perform jobsite inspections on active jobsites
Compile detailed reports of defects and areas for improvement
Speak and present in front of groups in meetings to promote quality goals/objectives and to discuss issues collaboratively
Review and understand project specifications
Maintain proper QC documentation including audits, site inspections, and NCR reporting
Promote and maintain a safe environment
Strong knowledge of codes including but not limited to (PCI, ACI, ICC)
Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with D&E, Sales, Project Management, Operations, and Field Services to assist them with problems and create solutions
Develop relationships with contractors and customers to ensure expectations on projects are met
Ability to learn and understand various departmental processes to be used in issue resolutions
When not performing active inspections, assist with other duties assigned for quality tracking, documentation, and project coordination
Complete special projects as requested and performs other duties as assigned

Required

Possession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
Good working knowledge of computer systems and be able to learn all programs used by the computer to perform tasks
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and precast construction drawings is necessary
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
Comfortability in speaking/presenting with large groups and in meetings
Must be motivated and self-driven to complete tasks
OSHA 30 required (will be provided)
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently
Intermittent field / jobsite visits will require safety precautions, which may coincide with exposure to harsh weather
Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements
Moderate to high risk of safety precautions
Moderate to high exposure to production environment
Wet, hot, humid, and wintry conditions (weather related) (plant specific)
Ability to work outside year-round (plant specific)

Preferred

2-4 year college degree or 3 years of experience in quality control or 5 years of field construction preferred
PCI Level II preferred (will be provided)
