Responsibilities
Supporting updates to the Actuarial Analysis System (AAS) by compiling expense provisions from current actuarial workbooks
Assisting with enhancements to MEMIC’s Own Risk Solvency Assessment (ORSA) model by integrating economic and market data into risk models, conducting ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) research and enhancing reporting capabilities and helping design new model functionality
Performing loss reserve analysis across assigned states
Selecting development factors for loss, ALAE, and ULAE
Making initial selections of ultimate loss and expense estimates to support financial projections
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an Associate's degree or higher
Curiosity, analytical thinking, and a love for solving complex problems
Comfort working with data and learning new tools
Strong communication skills — because explaining numbers is just as important as crunching them
