The Pharmacy Business Development Intern will contribute to project management, assist in departmental initiatives, and collaborate with team members to develop key performance indicators.

Responsibilities
Contribute to all stages of project and vendor management
Assist with advancing departmental infrastructure
Collaborate with team members to develop key performance indicators for implemented projects
Facilitate team collaboration and communication
Self-study existing Pharmacy programs, services and products
Perform competitive market research on key pharmacy products and services
Assist in the planning and execution of new initiatives
Prepare business case analyses
Coordinate meetings with stakeholders
Support vendor evaluations and comparisons
Coordinate and update departmental project management records
Create templates and other support materials
Develop project reporting tools
Automate project management processes
Collaborate with teams to develop key performance indicators for implemented projects
Prepare and communicate project updates, meeting agendas and minutes and dashboards
Coordinate the completion of assigned team tasks
Qualification
Required
Must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May; or
If graduating from a bachelor's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester; or
If graduating from a master's degree program prior to the start of the internship, starting a graduate degree program in the upcoming summer or fall semester
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in pharmacy, business, or related field and be a current sophomore or above (rising junior or above as of the program start in Summer 2026) or a graduate student
Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and One Note
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively
Experience working in cross-functional teams
Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs
Preferred
Current or previous Publix associate
Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern
Have a working knowledge of Power BI or other automation and data visualization tools
