Principal IT Product Manager
Palo Alto Networks is dedicated to protecting our digital way of life through innovative technology. The Principal IT Product Manager will be responsible for envisioning, planning, and implementing the entitlement system to enhance product activation and reporting while leveraging AI to improve features and team efficiency.

Responsibilities
Create, maintain and drive product roadmap for entitlement system and other functions
Own the delivery and quality of product specifications including product requirements, project epics and user stories
Own product backlogs to drive continuous improvements and product capabilities and features
Serve as a bridge among functions – business, R&D, IT Architecture, engineering, QA – ensuring seamless product development
Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the product life cycle
Act as a domain expert and go-to leader within the organization
Analyze case trends and engineering escalations to identify patterns, prioritize fixes, and influence the product backlog
Define and monitor success criteria and metrics for the product, including usage and quality measures
Analyze user feedback and refine strategy
Qualification
Required
12+ years of product management experience in technology or IT, with some years in SaaS or subscription based business
Experience with entitlement management systems, subscription lifecycle management, usage tracking and metering, billing models, integration with CRM, ERP, and billing systems
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Strong technical background with understanding and/or hands on experience in software development, databases and SQL, cloud platforms, programming languages, and Microservices
Experience building products that leverage AI for natural language querying (NLQ), data quality & governance, automated insights, and diagnostics
Experience mentoring junior product managers and contributing to the development of product management best practices within an organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate product vision, strategy, and progress to diverse audiences
Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience leading sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Must be local to the SF Bay area to be onsite
