MBO Partners is seeking an experienced Content Strategist & Executive Ghostwriter to support a senior Microsoft executive focused on Copilot initiatives. This role involves owning the content strategy and development roadmap, ghostwriting executive-level content, and managing strategic content conversations with the executive and business manager.

Responsibilities

Own the content strategy and development roadmap
Ghostwrite executive-level content, including:
LinkedIn posts and social media content
Blog posts and thought leadership articles
At least two longer-form articles tied to broader messaging initiatives
Develop ideas, outlines, and content proposals
Translate existing Microsoft and Copilot materials into polished, executive-voice content
Create original content from scratch when needed
Partner directly with the executive and business manager to:
Gather input and direction
Drive strategic content conversations
Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
Manage drafts, reviews, and revisions with a short approval cycle
Deliver content 1–2 weeks ahead of publishing timelines
Operate behind the scenes; client handles final publishing and posting

Required

5–8 years of professional experience
Proven experience ghostwriting for executives or senior leaders
Proven experience writing for external, public-facing audiences
Proven experience creating both short-form social content and longer-form articles
Experience working directly with executives and senior stakeholders
Ability to develop longer-term content plans and roadmaps
Strong collaboration and communication skills for client-facing work
Comfortable operating independently with minimal day-to-day oversight
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check

Preferred

Tech or tech business experience
Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating published content or content management experience strongly preferred
Curiosity or interest in AI and Copilot technology is a plus
