Education
Responsibilities
Supervision of employee and leadership of a project team
Oversee network analyst(s) in the execution and implementation of technology installations
Works cross-functionally to meet the needs of the school district
Demonstrates ability to analyze complex task
Identify technical problems and able to propose data-driven solutions
Provide hardware, software and networking support to end-users throughout the county
Design and configure systems to operate according to design specifications within assigned work area
Coordinate and actively participate in the installation of new technology-based labs
Consult with users to define technical needs and requirements
Exercise discretion within assigned work areas and make recommendations to facilitate the needs of unique technology solutions
Assist with the skills development of the Technology Specialist and the Network Analyst
Maintain a database that tracks and manages the network configuration for each school/site
Ensure that the technology naming and numbering standards are followed
Define training needs and requirements to ensure smooth network operations
Thoroughly document unique networking solutions and configurations and share information with technology personnel
Setup, test and provide training on all technologies as acquired by the school system
Develop and maintain training courses that will support basic network fundamental skills as well as advanced technical skills
Attend and participate in staff meetings
Professionally represent the school district at meetings, conventions and conferences when required and approved
Maintain a positive, professional and safe work environment
Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment nondiscrimination policies of the Cherokee County School District
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to assignments
Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibility
Ensure adherence to good safety procedures
Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Three years successful work-experience designing and configuring structured networks and supporting LAN/WAN products and applications
Effective project management, verbal and written communication skills
Hands-on experience with enterprise-level management of TCP/IP, Ethernet, multi-protocol routers, switches, wireless infrastructures, firewalls, and other security appliances in a large-scale environment
Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position
Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner
Preferred
Security+, Network+, and/or CCNA preferred
Two years employee/project managerial experience preferred
Qualifying project management experience includes, but is not limited to, network infrastructure, construction project management, emergency alert system technical team lead, Support Services and School Safety Teams coordination
