Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current-state supply chain operations across the platform and add-on businesses
Identify opportunities to improve cost structure, service levels, inventory efficiency, and supplier performance
Develop and execute a supply chain transformation roadmap aligned with growth and integration priorities
Standardize processes across procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand planning
Evaluate and consolidate supplier base to reduce redundancy and leverage purchasing scale
Lead contract negotiations to improve pricing, terms, and service levels
Implement strategic sourcing practices and supplier performance management processes
Establish procurement governance, approval workflows, and spend visibility
Improve inventory accuracy, visibility, and turnover across locations
Reduce excess and obsolete inventory while minimizing stockouts and service disruptions
Partner with finance to improve working capital efficiency and forecasting accuracy
Assess and optimize transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, service improvement, and scalability
Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) relationships and performance
Partner with IT and operations teams to enhance supply chain systems, reporting, and data visibility
Support ERP or supply chain system implementations and integrations
Develop KPIs and dashboards that provide actionable insights into performance and risks
Lead operational and supply chain integration planning for pending and future acquisitions
Align suppliers, processes, systems, and inventory strategies post-close
Capture synergies through consolidation, standardization, and process alignment
Ensure business continuity and minimal disruption during integration
Evaluate current supply chain team structure, skills, and gaps
Build or restructure the supply chain function to support a growing multi-entity platform
Define roles, responsibilities, and scalable operating procedures
Partner closely with the CEO, COO, and private equity operating partners on operational improvement initiatives
Translate supply chain initiatives into margin improvement, risk reduction, and scalability
Provide regular updates on integration progress, savings initiatives, and operational KPIs
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience across procurement, inventory, and logistics
Proven experience leading supply chain transformation in multi-site or high-growth environments
Strong track record of post-acquisition operational integration
Experience driving cost reduction and working capital improvements
Familiarity with ERP and supply chain systems implementations or upgrades
Comfortable operating in hands-on, resource-constrained environments typical of lower middle market businesses
Willing and able to travel up to 50%
Preferred
Experience in private equity–backed companies strongly preferred
