Associate Director for Finance
The Kansas Board of Regents is the governing board of the state’s six universities and the statewide coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions. They are seeking an Associate Director for Finance to oversee agency accounting operations, financial systems, and regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Oversees agency accounting operations, financial systems, and regulatory reporting while ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements
Reviews and approves major financial transactions
Manages financial databases and systems such as SMART, UMB, KHEDS, and SAM.gov
Leads federal and special grant administration, including creation, management, monitoring, and reporting
Coordinates required federal and state financial reports
Supports procurement card administration
Oversees cost allocation processes
Provides policy and procedural guidance
Serves as a key resource for internal and external financial inquiries

Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing the use of federal funds
