Responsibilities

Evaluate hedge performance and financial results by analyzing P&L drivers, derivative structures, underlying asset behavior, and portfolio positioning
Translate complex financial and hedge data into clear insights for portfolio managers and risk partners
Modernize existing Excel-based models and workflows by converting them into scalable database-driven solutions (e.g., SQL, Access, or cloud platforms)
Develop and maintain analytical dashboards and reporting tools that source data from centralized repositories
Perform investment style and exposure analysis to identify and mitigate discrepancies between funds and hedge baskets
Create quantitative models and analytical frameworks to support hedge strategy evaluation, portfolio decision-making, and risk monitoring
Contribute to cross-functional analytical initiatives supporting hedging and risk management objectives
Document methodologies, processes, and controls related to hedge analytics and reporting activities
Partner with technology, investment, and risk teams to enhance data quality, automation, and reporting efficiency
Manage multiple analytical priorities while operating effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related discipline
3–5 years of relevant experience within insurance, asset management, or financial services organizations
Strong foundation in quantitative finance, including applied derivative pricing concepts
Hands-on experience working with equity and interest rate derivatives
Demonstrated ability to automate and enhance Excel-based models using VBA, macros, or scripting tools
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, VBA, MATLAB, C++, or similar
Working knowledge of relational databases, data structures, and integration techniques
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to perform effectively under tight timelines and shifting priorities
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
