Validation Engineer - UFS IP

Responsibilities

Perform hardware validation of UFS host IP in SoC-based platforms
Execute pre-silicon and post-silicon validation , silicon bring-up, and debug
Debug hardware issues using protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab tools
Develop and execute validation strategies, test plans, and test cases
Collaborate with design, firmware, BIOS, driver, and software teams
Perform root cause analysis across storage, southbridge, and peripheral subsystems
Support system-level validation across boot flows, OS interactions, and driver layers
Document validation results and present technical findings to cross-functional teams

Required

Hands-on experience with UFS host IP hardware validation in an SoC environment
Strong understanding of SoC architecture and computer architecture
Experience validating storage interfaces (UFS, NAND, NOR, eMMC, NVMe)
Strong knowledge of hardware debug techniques and lab equipment
Experience with BIOS, firmware, Linux or Windows OS interactions
Familiarity with boot flows and system initialization
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

Preferred

Experience with FPGA or hardware emulation platforms
Knowledge of southbridge and system peripherals (PCIe, USB, SATA, SPI, I2C, UART)
Programming or scripting experience (Python, C, C++)
Exposure to Verilog or hardware description languages
Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills
