Responsibilities
Develop web applications and sites with a focus on user engagement and retention
Ensure cross-browser compatibility and page optimization
Incorporate social media and mobile functionality into applications and sites
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to deliver high-quality products
Provide guidance on industry best practices and governance for web applications
Stay updated on the latest technologies and innovations in web development
Perform benefit analysis for IT solutions and recommend technology directions
Supervise and direct staff as assigned, including participation in recruiting and performance reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Mastery of modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JS frameworks (e.g., Angular, jQuery)
Experience with responsive web design, fluid layouts, and mobile interfaces
Knowledge of SEO concepts and coding for Search Engine Optimization
Proficiency in REST APIs, AJAX, XML, and MVC Frameworks
Advanced skills in object-oriented coding and scripting languages such as Java, .NET/C#, PHP, and Ruby
Experience with relational database modeling and advanced SQL queries/procedures
Ability to create reusable JavaScript libraries and configure hosting environments (IIS, Apache)
Strong skills in rapid prototyping and presenting website designs to clients
Ability to travel to off-site locations as required
