Responsibilities

Operate atmosphere, vacuum and Hydrogen Fluoride Ion (HF) furnaces for coating, cleaning and heat treating of parts per written instructions
Mix coating powders as required per PMS specifications
Pack and unpack coated parts
Program controls and monitor operating parameters for furnace runs
Make routine entries on charts and routing travelers and log data into RFMS along with trace ability records
Perform preventative and minor maintenance as required
Maintain a neat and orderly work area Comply with all documentation (including SOP’s, PMS’s, Routers)
Setup and run furnace temperature uniformity surveys
Troubleshoot furnace related temperature issues
Assemble O.E.M. heat treat coating batches based on alloy
Must complete OJT operator training after starting

Qualification

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must take and pass the Furnace Operator Test with a score of 75%

Preferred

Certified forklift driver
Previous experience as a Furnace Operator strongly preferred
Previous experience performing preventative maintenance
Prior Aviation or Manufacturing experience
