Responsibilities
Conduct best in class customer product and production flow demonstrations and attend trade shows to increase product sales with a focus on automated panel bending machines
Provide customer application & sales support utilizing TRUMPF digital solutions both virtually and on-site
Perform feasibility analyses, time studies, and produce sample parts for customer evaluation
Continuously excel the technology knowledge by participating in training and testing functions of the machine
Support machine startups and provide hands-on production assistance post-installation
Be responsible for the assigned technology in the production showroom environment
Organize and provide customer product training courses with a focus on programming and operating equipment
Consult and demonstrate latest machine technology related solutions for Industry 4.0. Utilization of all hardware / software / services that pertain to the technology to become a resident expert / go to person for the technology
Collaborate with product centers and other TRUMPF subsidiaries to provide feedback on product development / improvement ideas for existing or new products in the field of bending technology
Assist with new machine introductions through testing and early customer support
Travel estimate is 30% as average, with focus in USA, Mexico and Canada
Qualification
Required
Multiple years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, with strong knowledge of panel bending and automated production
Proficiency in CAD/CAM systems, bending machine programming, and general machine tool operation
Understanding of manufacturing technologies and production software systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-facing experience required
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly; willingness to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Minimum 2-year technical school degree with a solid math background or the suitable equivalent of education and work experience
Preferred
Experience programming and operating industrial robots (FANUC preferred) is a plus
