Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and optimize continuous production and manufacturing processes to meet organizational goals for output, quality, and cost-efficiency
Collect and analyze production data using scientific and statistical methods; document and diagram current processes to identify bottlenecks
Recommend and implement process enhancements, equipment upgrades, or work method modifications to improve efficiency and resource utilization (labor, energy, raw materials)
Lead efforts to develop scalable new recipes, including vessel specifications, process parameters (time, temperature, agitation, flow rate), and process systems to reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and establish best practices
Support new manufacturing process and technology development by providing technical expertise during process design, validation, and commissioning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Production, Quality) to ensure successful scale-up from pilot to full production
Maintain and update master recipes and control recipes within SAP/WinCC systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformance issues, providing corrective actions and participating in incident investigations related to customer complaints or product defects
Advise on Food Safety protocols, GMP practices, and HACCP standards
Provide technical support for factory floor systems, troubleshooting PLC and control systems, and assisting in equipment validation and commissioning
Develop innovative solutions to complex manufacturing and process challenges, ensuring continuous improvement and operational reliability
Participate in or lead changeovers, validation activities, and system upgrades to enhance manufacturing capacity and quality standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related science or engineering discipline
Minimum of 10 years' experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in process development and optimization
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF standards, and food safety regulations
Familiarity with Aseptic (HTST) processing systems
Technical expertise in HMI, SCADA, data archiving systems, ladder logic PLC programming, and control system troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills; adaptable to dynamic production environments
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and relevant manufacturing software
