Responsibilities
The candidate will conduct experimental work in the laboratory on solid state battery materials that includes formulation, producing samples at desired form factor, and characterizing key attributes
Candidate will collect and analyze data to inform the direction of research efforts
Candidate will interact with modeling teams to create predictive models based on experimental data
Results will be reported in internal documents and team presentations
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in materials science, ceramic science and engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent
Strong knowledge in ceramic science with expertise in battery materials including lithium garnet, NASICON, and sulfides
Strong understanding of materials characterization techniques
Preferred
Skilled in the construction and testing of battery cells
Skilled in materials science including strong understanding of metals, glasses, single crystals and semiconductors
