Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Plant

Responsibilities
Plan and conduct independent electrical engineering work requiring technical judgment on medium-sized projects
Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and systems
Apply Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, guides, and Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
Develop conceptual electrical designs for projects with specialized or unique requirements
Support preparation of estimates, staffing plans, schedules, and work plans
Interpret and apply codes, regulations, standards, and performance criteria
Coordinate electrical design activities with clients and multi-office EPC teams
Mentor and support the professional development of electrical engineering personnel
Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge and application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE standards
Experience as Electrical Responsible Engineer for medium-to-large material requisitions
Knowledge of medium-voltage systems (34.5kV / 13.8kV) and low-voltage systems (480V, 208/120V)
Experience with switchgear, substations, MCCs, UPS systems, and bulk materials
Proficiency in power system studies, one-lines, schematics, and connection diagrams
Expertise in electrical raceway design, grounding systems, and lightning protection
Strong collaboration skills across multi-discipline engineering teams
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
Preferred
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license — Electrical Engineering (Power)
Prior experience on industrial, data center, or power generation projects
Experience coordinating design across multi-office EPC environments (India experience preferred)
