Responsibilities
Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation systems and manufacturing processes
Create user manuals, installation guides, SOPs, API documentation, training and maintenance manuals for automated equipment
Collaborate with engineers, developers, QA, and product managers to gather and interpret technical information
Translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for technical and non-technical audiences
Manage the documentation lifecycle from planning and creation to publishing and updates
Incorporate visuals such as diagrams, schematics, and flowcharts to enhance comprehension
Ensure documentation complies with industry standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA) and internal style guides
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, English, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
5 to 10 years of relevant working experience with technical writing, preferably in automation, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
Familiarity with automation technologies such as PLCs, robotics, and SCADA systems
Experience with regulatory documentation in industries like medical, pharmaceutical, or automotive
Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering graphics
Understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies
