$36.60/hr - $36.60/hrEpitec is seeking a Design Release Engineer (Wire Harness) to join our automotive client's team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, validating, and releasing wire harnesses to meet various program targets.

Responsibilities
Design and develop low‑voltage (LV) electrical wiring harnesses to meet program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets
Apply best‑practice design principles to optimize for manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and failure‑mode avoidance
Drive commonality and standardization of wiring harness designs across multiple vehicle programs and platforms
Review pre‑production vehicles to identify potential campaign issues and evaluate warranty exposure
Participate in vehicle build events and lead issue resolution through the AIMS process
Lead resolution of warranty‑related issues (GSAR) in collaboration with PVT teams and suppliers
Work with the EDS VRT team to develop solutions for high‑impact internal and external issues
Develop data‑driven business cases to support engineering changes
Lead engineering change activities from concept development through production launch
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
Hands‑on experience with low‑voltage and/or high‑voltage wiring harness design
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, wiring routing, connectors, terminals, and associated components
Preferred
Familiarity with Teamcenter or similar CAD data‑management tools for wire routing and design review
Functional understanding of vehicle electrical systems or vehicle wiring system architecture
