Project Manager, Information Technology
The Virginia Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Project Manager for their Information Technology department. This role is responsible for coordinating, tracking, and reporting on IT projects to ensure predictable delivery and alignment with agency priorities.

Responsibilities
Coordinate intake of IT project requests in alignment with CIO priorities and governance processes
Assist in defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and dependencies in collaboration with IT directors and business stakeholders
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation
Track project progress, milestones, risks, and issues across IT initiatives
Identify schedule risks, resource constraints, and dependencies and escalate appropriately
Prepare regular status reports and dashboards for IT leadership and stakeholders
Ensure project information is accurate, current, and transparent
Facilitate identification and documentation of project risks and mitigation strategies
Track issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate technical teams
Monitor cross-project dependencies and highlight potential conflicts
Serve as a central point of coordination for project communications
Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and status updates
Support clear communication between IT teams and business stakeholders
Apply established project management standards and methodologies consistently
Support post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned activities
Recommend improvements to project management practices and tools
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of project management principles and practices
Ability to coordinate work across multiple teams without direct authority
Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
Ability to identify risks, dependencies, and delivery issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, or equivalent project management
